We all know that our activities lead to a state of acknowledgment and meta symbolism. It’s also become the state of equilibrium that’s sometimes sacred, like a red button in the President’s suitcase.

As an urbanist and ex-urban design student who wanders from one of the Island in East Indonesia to the capital city of Indonesia, I’ve been through a lot of tension and process regarding how to adapt and how to decide in a circumstance that leads me into the super loose and adaptable organ, like a kidney that can work as currency (in sarcastic term of course).

An acknowledgment will become the port of interaction, if someone works in the dimension of being (with a little “b”), whether that’s become creates a gap with another being. It’s also similar to entities that use function in the dimension of emphasizing individuals, who will always need (f) as connection tools. While it’s become a state, (state of) acknowledgment will become so templates and draggy. The activities that build the acknowledgment will be easy to be detected. And it leads to a community that will be shaped by order, not by intuition and activation of enlightenment.

Back to the journey as an urbanist, adaptation is not the only phase of reconnecting and reckoning. Adaptation is also a weapon for shaping and setting ourselves on the edge of individual transformation. Mobility is the habitude of urbanists' characteristics, especially while having to interact and held a social field. The ability to become “BEING” (with a capital “B), as a variable of the social body, is improving fast while the urbanist passes the battle of reckoning and reconnecting, and becomes a constant.

A symbol for urbanists is not for acknowledgment, it’s more than that. It’s become the gate to the “journey to the source”. Just like wearing a native hat from the tribe, it’s not only a symbol of the engaging atmosphere of vernacularism. It’s more than that, it can be the red button, the direct path to the source.

Luckily, my ancestors from Selaparang people were known as social bodies, people, who embrace humanity and were so loose with kinda acknowledgment, until there were entities consciously put a gesture to push the red button. And apparel is one of the tools that embrace humanity. It’s a holistic process. It was a socio-engineering process at the time. And it still can be traced to its descendant.

Activity that goes cycled and becomes culture is also the way to strengthen all formulas that we do with a current formula that we called “social body”. There’s no distraction in the process. Let’s do the process of avoiding the red button by installing more emphasis.

And I think we’re all on the journey to embrace humanity, isn’t it?
